I passed Max Payne 3 and this is an undeservedly forgotten masterpiece of Rockstar.

Objectively, Rockstar is not a company of “one series”, but the success of the GTA series is so great that Bully and Manhunt are fading into the background and nervously smoke on the sidelines, which in terms of monetary indicators, according to monetary indicators. No, of course, those who love these games are a lot, but in comparison with the main series of company games, it seems that admirers of other games from Rockstar are rather a narrow circle of devoted.

So, 2012. The Rockstarians graduated with their obligations to produce exclusive DLC GTA IV for 360 “boxes”, released these additions to the PS3 and PC, and at that time, work on the continuation of the Great series created by Sam Lake and the Finnish studio REMEDY was boiled inside the studio.

It’s funny, but the players were disliked by the third Max Payne, only looking at the first trailer: Max Payne, not only did he grow old, and also grew a beard, went to the favela and, judging by the trailer, lost all his gloomy New York charm.

Of course, in fact, it turned out that to judge the game on the trailers is a hymassic case, and although the Third Max Payne turned out to be called the “soft restart”, the main chips of the Rockstarian series managed not to lose and increase.

Before the new GTA is released for another year (and if you were not the proud owner of the seventh -generation consoles, then there are two at all), the third Max Payne uses the same chips that were in RDR and in the fourth GTA: thanks to (never survived) Euphoria, enemies are cool from each shot, firing and weapons here – a mixture of RDR and GTAIV (and it turned out to be so good that almost not modified migrated to GTA V), and then “crosses” appear on enemies when the bullet reaches the goal and the enemy dies: a successful find from RDR, which will eventually be in every subsequent game Rockstar.

Shooting can be praised and described for hours, but the main thing in this game is the plot.

And the main character, as if leading the gloomy Laite Knight show, who alone takes out the whole program on his brutal charm and charm.

The game is surprisingly not funny and gloomy, there is no black humor, and humor at all: there is a gloomy, sleepy, lost all the main character, bandits, killers, poverty and dirt. But the element of science fiction lies in the fact that the drunken main character retains the excellent lord of the mind and a huge share of sarcasm, commenting on his every step and any noticeable detail that occurs in the gameplay. Have you found local “hilk” in the form of pills, lingered on locations to find the collected objects and “evidence” or just go forward in between shootings – be sure that Max will comment on all this, and will do it successfully, capacious and very accurately accurately. And the most interesting thing is that there is an opportunity for reproduction: after a loss in a particular mission, the phrases of Max may vary, and therefore, for one passage, everything will not work out for one passage.

Max’s comments skillfully balanced the whole gloomy on the screen, and the hero who falls into such a difficult life situation, but so dashingly commenting on his position, wants to sympathize.

The plot grows the hero in San Paulo: he will visit the night club, in an abandoned building, on a yacht, and a lot more where else! There is such a variety in locations that you will not have to get bored. And he will also look into the snowy New York, and the hero will be “flashbe” in the most tense moments of the plot. The screenwriter tried to fame, inventing in what new location Max would arrange a shootout, but it became the fifth Achilles to perceive the plot: it goes linearly, but often interrupted to flashbacks, some of which will come only closer to the completion of the plot. It adds difficulties to perceive the plot a large number of characters, because remembering names and family ties in this game is an important element for understanding what is happening!

A confused plot and a large number of characters, the appearance of which must be monitored, otherwise the main plot twists and atmosphere will disappear for you (for example, one of the heads, which is essentially the final boss, appears before the game twice, and even as a secondary character) I would call the main disadvantage.

Even in spite of his solid age (and the game, by the way, turns 12 years old!), Max Payne is not only a great game of “the same” Rockstar, but also a good action movie, which to this day is played very cheerfully and will allow you to brighten up a couple of evenings!
